nister Gordon Brown launched the national campaign entitled “Backing Young Britain” aimed at creating 85,000 jobs for the 18-24 year olds. Over 150 employers promised to create jobs, apprenticeship places or internships. Currently, 722,000 people from this age group are unemployed.
