Because its responsibility is involved in the disappearance of the retirement savings of almost 100.000 British employees, the government was asked, March 15, to grant compensation to the people financially affected, for an amount which could reach 15 billion Pounds (22 billion euros). (Ref. 06252)
In its report, which blames the Ministry of Labour and Retirement and that of Finances, Ann Abraham, parliamentary mediator, underlines the “bad management” of the government, which “caused an injustice to many people, who thus failed to make well-informed choices for their future”.
