When presenting the 2013 budget, the Irish government should announce two possible options to incentivize employers to hold onto interns and long-term jobseekers. (Ref. 120649)
Two plans. Companies would receive around €1,000 for keeping JobBridge interns on for 13 months after their internship is completed. JobBridge was created in 2011 and provides work experience opportunities for unemployed people. Companies that retain people for the same period who were on the Live Register for a year and a half would get around €2,000.
