On 13 May, the social partners of the Italian insurance sector concluded a new national collective agreement. It strengthens purchasing power, inclusion initiatives and working hour flexibility, and contains a joint declaration on the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence.
The employers’ organisation Ania and the trade unions First-Cisl, Fisac-Cgil, Uilca, FNA and SNFIA renewed the Italian collective agreement for the insurance sector on 13 May, covering around 44,000 people, including employees of industry giants such as Generali, Axa, Allianz, CNP and Zurich. The text of the agreement, which must be approved by workers’ assemblies, will be valid retrospectively from 1 January 2025 to 31 May 2028.
