Since 1 September 2026, employees of the pharmaceutical group Boiron (1,700 employees in France) have benefited from a “key life moments account”. Resulting from an agreement signed last February by executive management and representative trade unions, this mechanism allows employees to draw on days to support six situations: parenthood, personal or professional projects, personal leave, disability, caregiving, and career end. Juliette Baudry, Global Human Resources Director of the group, speaks to mind RH about the implementation of the mechanism.

What is the background to this agreement?

We had a historical retirement preparation agreement dating back to 1976, which was quite innovative as it allowed employees to move to part-time work three or four years before their retirement. When renegotiating this agreement, I felt it was an opportunity to look more broadly at employees’ needs and expectations, and at how to better accommodate different life stages.
