The President of Parliament, the Peruvian Wilbert Bendezú, in office for two years, rejoiced with this decision which, he thinks, will “facilitate the free movement of workers and make Andean integration real.” He thinks “the Andean job card is going to allow workers, students or professionals to develop their activity in each of the countries in the region with the same prerogatives as in their home country. This way, bureaucratic annoyance will be removed and citizens will be able to go to the country they want.” With this Community job card, 12 million Andean migrants will be able to claim their labor rights (pension, social security, union membership…). Also, their degrees will be recognized in each member country.
