EU/EU Commission’s projects for the EWC Directive.
In an annex to the European Social Rights Pillar, the EU Commission is evoking an assessment report on the EWC 2009/38 Directive as well as a guidance document “aiming to improve its implementation and establishing greater certainty.” This approach has been advocated by the experts working on the assessment report and we presented the initial conclusions (c.f. article No. 9723). However its formulation leaves the European Social Partners somewhat in the dark as it lacks clarity over the Executive’s intention to move to revise or not the Directive.
