David Michaels as the head of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), charged with the enforcement of safety and health legislation. The appointment of this professor from the George Washington University, who has an epidemiology degree and who is also a doctor in philosophy of socio-medical science, will have to be confirmed by the Congress.
