In addition to rises in the statutory minimum wage in many countries, including France, Germany, Portugal and Ireland*, a number of previously agreed measures have come into force from 1 January 2024.
Paid leave
In Ireland, the number of days of sick leave paid by the employer during the calendar year will be increased from three to five for employees with at least 13 weeks of service at their company.
