To speed up delivery times with a low carbon footprint, Amazon is covering the last mile via high-speed train. In France, on May 14, following a one-month pilot phase in June 2024 and rollout in November 2024, the group announced the movement of parcels via SNCF’s high-speed train between Lyon and Paris. Six days a week, Amazon says it will be able to transport ‘a maximum of 1,000 parcels weighing up to 15 kg between Lyon Perrache and Paris Gare de Lyon (470 km) in 2 hours and 18 minutes....
