The context
For C2C marketplace Vinted, which operates in 19 countries, France is the largest market in terms of the number of orders processed. “In 2021, 73% of all orders were delivered to relay points (Relais Colis, Mondial Relay from the Inpost group), so the platform has developed a logistics arm in 2022, called Vinted Go. This includes a system of lockers and warehouses for sorting parcels”, Arnoldas Kevalaitis, Manager of Network Strategy at Vinted Go, told during the Deliver trade fair in Amesterdam: “In view of rising costs, and given the low face value of the products sold, it is important that our transport rates remain very attractive. On the French market, in 2022, 85% of Vinted’s business was domestic and 15% cross-border. At group level, 80% is national-based and 20% cross-border”.
