On May 7, 2024, Amazon announced a major investment into AWS. Following Microsoft, which last week unveiled a US$4 billion investment in cloud computing and AI infrastructures in Malaysia and Indonesia, with a data center in Thailand, Amazon is to invest US$9 billion in Singapore up to 2028.
