On January 20, 2025, preparing for I.P.O. on the Malaysian Stock Exchange by June 2025, Malaysia’s largest discount retailer by sales Eco-Shop (annual revenue of US$510 million to the end of May 2024, up 21% in a year, net margin of US$37.5 million) will be meeting the main investors. Eco-Shop plans to raise US$200 million. On September 9, 2024, convenient rival 99 Speed Mart Retail raised US$534 million by listing on Bursa Malaysia, the largest amount raised on the market in seven years.
