New step in the procedure to merge white-collar and blue-collar workers’ statuses. Currently, when an employer wants to part with a white-collar employee, s/he doesn’t have to explain why, unlike blue-collar workers. In the future, the situation covering blue-collar workers will be extended to white-collars: all layoffs will have to be justified, at least if the worker requests it. “In some cases, employees are aware of the grounds and don’t need justification,” explains Felipe Van Keersblic
