Religion at work is not a cause for conflict in Denmark. This is what comes out of a study carried out by the LG Insight Company, which analyzes religion's weight in the workplace and the means developed by companies to fulfill their employees' religious needs. In the TDC telecommunications company, arrangements in favor of religious minorities are included in the policy promoting diversity. (Ref. 080325)
Companies have been dealing with the Islamic veil issue and other symbols at work since 1998. This decennial experience was analyzed by the LG Insight Company as part of a recently published study on religion at work, ordered by the Ministry of Integration. It is based on interviews of HR managers and staff representatives in 45 companies, both public and private, with main international groups, including TDC, Maersk, Arla, H&M, and Novo Nordisk, who employ many people from different ethnic origin.
