Three innovative Danish networks have come together in a pilot project to relocate textile production to Denmark. Robots will be used in the production process. This project is starting in the fashion business company, Claire Group.
“It’s a question of a sector with a high growth potential and this is why we want to bring textile production back to Denmark. This is possible as robotics and automated production can render the sector flexible and inexpensive,” explained Bjarke Nielsen, Cluster Manager of the national innovation network, RoboCluster. * The network in collaboration with the innovation network for lifestyle, interior and clothing (Innovationsnetværket for Livsstil – Bolig & Beklædning), and the innovation network for industrial production, is in the process of launching, the ‘Sylab’ project that has received a DKR 2.8 million subsidy (€375,277) from the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation.
