On 19 October the European Commission presented its work program for 2021, including in particular a legislative proposal on platform workers and a strategic framework on health and safety at work.
In her September State of the Union speech, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, indicated her intention to focus on the dual ecological and digital transition (c.f. article No.12125). With the lessons of Covid-19, both priorities are now sitting atop of the European Executive’s work program for 2021. The program lists the proposals that the European Commission intends to present over the next 12 months (see each of the documents here), those that it intends to withdraw, and the legislation it intends to evaluate for effectiveness.
