n the revision of the working time directive started on the evening of Wednesday February 18 between the European Parliament (EP) and the Council of EU Ministers, in the presence of the European Commission. At the Council, that same morning, the Member States’ representatives agreed on a negotiating term for the Czech Presidency. Although the latter may make a few concessions regarding on-call time, it mustn’t give in regarding the removal of the statutory 48-hour maximum work week (opt-out). T
