On 22 January, the industrial and technology group Safran (45,000 employees in France) and trade unions signed a new five-year agreement on training and skills development. The text provides for the rollout of a plan focused on the adoption of generative AI and establishes new bodies responsible for assessing its impact on employment.

The agreement, concluded between Safran and the CFDT, CFE-CGC, and FO unions, aims to support the major transformations that will impact the company and its professions over the 2026-2030 period. To this end, the group is committed to deploying a “global upskilling plan for generative AI”.
