Eager to revive the national economy, Berlin is focused instead on easing legal obligations for businesses.
*As the regular postponement of the publication of a draft bill to transpose the EU pay transparency directive by its government suggested, Germany has missed the 7 June 2026 deadline. The European Commission will now request explanations from the German government before deciding whether to launch an infringement procedure.
