trade union confederation (DGB) want “to place Schaeffler in the hands of the workers” and propose, in the spirit of the agreement of February 23 between the Schaeffler management and the IG Metall, the creation of a corporate foundation holding at least 25,1% of the capital of the group. This structure would, in their opinion, make it possible to obtain the government aid requested. Meanwhile, Continental confirms the closure of the plants at Stöcken (Germany) and Clairoix (France).
