On 03 February 2023, the UK government announced its support for the Workers (Predictable Terms and Conditions) Bill. Championed by Conservative MP Scott Benton, the bill, currently being debated in the House of Commons, will give all workers, including those on zero-hours contracts (no guaranteed pay or working time) a say in their work patterns.
