David Cameron’s government and the country’s major employers are to create the first ever national measures that can quantify and encourage social mobility within companies.
Asking job candidates during interview to state their parents’ professions, whether they received free school meals, and what their postcode was when they were 14 years of age: these are among proposed draft measures being put forward by the Minister for Cabinet Office and Paymaster General, Matt Hancock in charge of driving a ground-breaking movement to boost social mobility in the workplace.
