As the 5 Star Movement leader and Minister for both Economic Development and Labor, Luigi Di Maio announced, this ‘dignity decree’, which the Council of Ministers is expected to adopt by the end of June 2018, aims in particular to shrink precarious employment. In an interview on 19 June with the economics publication il Sole Ore 24, Minister Di Maio announced several intended measures. One of the most important measures concerns tightening regulations surrounding fixed-term employment contracts that had been relaxed as part of the Jobs Act.
