The protocol signed on 6 April will allow companies that put themselves forward to set up a vaccination plan for employees who wish to be vaccinated, once vaccines are widely available in Italy. Mario Draghi’s government, employer organisations and trade unions have also updated the protocols on health and safety at work, set out in spring of last year.
A broad agreement. The protocol for vaccinations against Covid-19 has been signed by the government, the National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work (INAIL), seven trade union centrals (Cgil, Cisl, Uil, UGL, Confsal, Cisal and USB) and 18 employer organisations. Organisations in the latter group range from Confindustria (industry) to the ABI (banking), which had already begun to mobilise on the subject (see articles n°12411 and 12426), from the ANIA (insurance) to Federdistribuzione (large-scale distribution), and includes all the main organisations of traders, craftsmen, farmers and the independent professions.
