After three weeks of scattered strike, work started up on November 10 at Unilever, after a compromise was reached between unions and the Dutch multinational company's management. Indeed, an agreement in principle was found, about a social plan which corresponds to unions' wishes. (Ref. 070939)
The federation of Dutch unions and allies (FNV Bondgenoten), the largest union in the country, gained satisfaction on its main request : guaranties were brought for Unilever’s 4.300 Dutch employees on their jobs’ security for three years.
