The British trade union of the communications sector, CWU, is taking actions to support a procedure of recognition of the trade union by Orange. CWU bets on a change of attitude of management since the France Telecom group signed, on December 21st 2006, an agreement on basic rights with the world trade-union confederation UNI (see story n°061287). (Ref. 070063)

The trade union of communications employees (CWU) states the text of the agreement on the basic rights in the France Telecom group: “When a trade union is present in one of the group’s companies, the France Telecom group will adopt a neutral position aimed at neither helping nor preventing the trade union from establishing “.
