Quebecor World's management and the international trade union confederation UNI signed, on May 4, 2007, a "joint declaration on the respect and the promotion of international labour norms" on the group"s sites, in its subsidiaries and its suppliers.(Ref. 070410)
In this joint declaration, Quebecor World (35,000 employees) promised that labour fundamental rights, written in the ILO’s Conventions, be respected. The group, according to a press release from the UNI confederation, thus commits to appeal neither to forced labour nor to child labour, and not to practice discrimination in employment.
