Government, employers and trade unions signed an agreement on labor market reform which will apply in July. Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero described this pact as historical. Its central objective is to fight the lack of job security which affects one third of Spanish employees. (Ref. 06458)
The head of the government made the wish that the dialogue between social partners will continue, in order to handle the issues of retirement pensions or the statute of self-employed workers.
