The agreement in principle on salary rises concluded on May 11 between representatives of both the unions and employers bodies has now freed the way for discussion on other topics in the pre-framework Agreement on Employment and Collective Bargaining (AENC) 2015-2017 that was ratified on May 14 and sets out the guidelines for the social partners to negotiate collective agreements.
Several days after the announcement on the pact over wages we still don’t know any more about the framework agreement concluded between the unions (CCOO, UGT) and the employers bodies (CEOE, Cepyme). Unions shared information over the essential issues of the agreement on wage rises (1% for 2015 and 1.5% for 2016) as well as the guarantee to maintain purchasing power during tough times (c.f. article No. 9068). However the AENC contains other important topics requiring validation by the relevant bodies before they can be officially signed off in the weeks to come.
