Around one hundred Labour MPs, including former Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and former Health Secretary Wes Streeting, are backing a campaign for paternity leave reform launched by the charity The Dad Shift. The campaign aims to extend leave for the second parent, regardless of whether they are a biological or adoptive parent, in order to give them sufficient time to “bond with their child.”
