The leadership of the Communications Workers of America, a large trade union that has a strong presence in the telecommunications industry, has decided to expand into the sectors of tech and video games, with the launch of a nationwide unionisation campaign.
The Communications Workers of America (CWA), one of the most influential trade unions in North America, with some 700,000 members, is looking to expand into new sectors. To this end, it has launched a nationwide campaign to convince as many people as possible to join up. Silicon Valley, as well as the video game industry, has experienced very little in the way of employee activism.
