While denying any affiliation practices, OpenAI is launching a new shopping experience directly within ChatGPT. A search engine connected to the web since October 2024, the platform now includes e-commerce links. Here's how it works.

On April 28, OpenAI announced the launch of GPT Shopping, in partnership with 3P partners. If Shopify is confirmed, Woocommerce and BigCommerce should also be part of the new service. ‘Buy’ links for merchant websites now appear on the right side of the OpenAI chat screen (2024 revenue: US$3.7 billion, up 130%, after a rise of 700% in 2023).
