Supported by Fairly Made in terms of traceability and involved in a relocation program, Ba&sh has been publishing a voluntary CSR report for 3 years and has just been certified B-Corp. Since January, labels display environmental impact QR codes on products. This is transforming a customer experience, both in store and online. Julie Hamadouche Bottino, Sustainability Manager, revealed the numbers.

On June 19, 2024, Ba&sh received B-Corp certification with a record score of 98 points. When did this work begin?

Julie Hamadouche Bottino: I joined Ba&sh 4 years ago to drive our sustainable transformation. In 2020, I filled in our first B-Corp questionnaire, and we obtained 54 points. In June 2024, we earned this certification with a score of 98 points. This is tangible recognition of our profound and rapid social and environmental transformation. Joining this global community of companies committed to people and the planet is a source of great joy and pride. It is recognition of several years of perseverance, of a collective commitment at the highest level of the company, and of a rigorous 18-month evaluation process involving hundreds of hours of work.

In concrete terms, how did you go about implementing this certification project?

We started working on traceability in 2020 in two ways. Internally, by working on the identification and traceability of our partners, our production sites and our subcontractors like spinning mills or dye houses. We initially worked with tools from the Swedish-Indian start-up called Trust Trace, but then switched to Fairly Made in the Spring of 2022.
