Meta and Amazon are backtracking in a fight against discrimination. After abolishing fact-checking in the U.S.A., Meta announced in a memo sent to staff on January 10, 2025, a scrapping of “Diversity, Equality and Inclusion” (DEI) HR programmes and dedicated teams.
