On May 20, the European Commission proposed the introduction of a €2 tax on parcels under €150 imported into the EU. This tax, to be paid by the platforms, is intended to offset the costs associated with customs controls. As a reminder, in 2024, 91% of the 4.6 billion parcels under €150 entering the EU (up by 100% in a year) came from China.
