Austria: textile workers get 2.8% pay raise

The first agreement of the “Spring Campaign” for the renewal of collective agreements in the industry was reached on April 8 in the Austrian textile industry (12,255 employees).  Wage will increase by 2.8% on April 1, 2013 and minimum wage by 3%.  This agreement was reached while a dispute is taking place at the Austrian subsidiary of Triumph International, the Swiss underwear company and a major player in the sector, which is less and less involved in the country.  (Ref.  130243)
