Eight months after the first phase, the European Commission finally launched the second stage of consultation with social partners on 20 July for an initiative on quality jobs expected by the end of 2026. Approaching its self-imposed autumn 2026 deadline for a directive on quality jobs, the Commission finally launched the second phase of consultation with social partners, in accordance with Article 154 of the TFEU, on 20 July.
