The recent reinforcement of factory inspectorates has highlighted the abuses, especially in the sectors of construction and shipyards. Solicited by trade unions, the Minister for Labour is preparing a bill which makes the prime contractor responsible for the illegal recruiting of labor force. (Ref. 06378)
The recent inspections in the south of Finland carried out in famous companies noted that, in the construction industry, at least twenty percent of foreign employees did not have a residence permit or a valid work permit.
