Generali: joint European declaration promoting teleworking

Italy’s insurance group Generali is looking to develop teleworking as one of the aspects of smart working. Management and the EWC select committee signed a declaration on 16 May 2017 whereby they ‘intend to support entities in the different regions to establish an innovative working environment that is in the interests of both the employers and the employees.’

HR management and the European representatives have been working on this issue since the end of 2015 that has culminated in this joint declaration, which asserts the link with the teleworking joint declaration that was previously concluded in 2015 with the European insurance sector social partners (c.f. article No. 8889) and which clearly aims to encourage agreements that recognize this working arrangement whilst still guaranteeing employee social protection levels.
