On 24 May the UK government published updated figures on trade union membership for the period 1995-2022, and according to which the proportion of union affiliated workers has fallen for the second successive year since 2021. In 2022, the percentage of unionised employees stood at 22.3%, i.e. 0.8 percentage points lower than in 2021, while in 2021 the percentage was 23.1% already 0.6 percentage points down from the previous year’s data.
