The new company agreement signed by American Express Group in Italy in January with the trade unions – after three months of ‘tight’ negotiations – changes working time and organization. Signed after a global restructuring providing for 5,400 job cuts worldwide was announced, unions claim this agreement aims to maintain the group’s Italian activities (1,069 employees). (Ref. 130238)
The new company agreement, approved by 85% of workers, was permanently signed on January 31 by American Express Service Europe Ltd, Amex Broker Assicurativo S.r.l.s.u., and American Express Payment Service Limited for employers and Filcams-CGIL, Fisascat-Cisl, Uiltucs-Uil and the works council (RSA) for the trade unions.
