Italy : working conditions at call centres under debate in Italy

The Ministry has confirmed the validity of the circular: “ the circular is compulsory for all current and future inspections and the result of the inspection at Atesia takes account  of inspectorate directives,” declared Mario Notaro, director general of inspections at the Ministry of Labour. “ But we are not relying solely on repression: we have initiated accompanying measures for the training of inspectors and for developing awareness within companies. Flexibility must be preserved, but “positive” flexibility through correction of breaches of law”, he asserted.
