Ireland/wage gap law on the way.Following moves in the UK that oblige companies with a minimum of 250 staff to publish gender pay gap statistics, (c.f. articles No. 9966and No. 9502), Ireland is considering something similar. A Labour Party’s Gender Pay Gap Information Bill is currently under examination in the Senate and Labour Party members expect it to be definitively presented before the summer recess and then adopted before the end of 2018. Current Prime Minister, centre-right Fine Gael party member Leo Varadkar, has not excluded the possibility of going even further than the UK by requiring companies with a minimum of 50 employees to publish their pay data.
