On May 15, the NHO Logistikk og Transport employers’ organization (logistics and transportation) and the NTF (Norsk Transportarbeiderforbund) union signed an agreement for the logistics and transportation industry (Speditøroverenskomsten). A special agreement was signed for employees working at Schenker.
The agreement provides for a general NOK 0.75 (€0.09) increase on April 1, 2014 as well as a NOK 1.25 (€0.15) adjustment. The meal allowance in case of overtime is NOK 76.50 (€9.4). “We’ve put a guarantee in the agreement that implies that, on February 1, 2017, minimum wage will amount to 90 percent of the average salary of all of NHO’s workers, with a first adjustment on April 1, 2014,” explained Lars R. Johnson. Consequently, on February 1, 2014, minimum hourly wage amounted to NOK 166.14
