The UGT has decided to join in on the general strike decided by the CGTP for June 27. Support from the moderate union – which until now was the only one involved in dialogue with the government – is a strong sign. Initially planned for the civil service only, the new, common watchword is now spreading to all the sectors. (Ref. 130369)
Unity. On June 27, 2013, the UGT had decided to join in on the general strike previously called by the CGTP (close to the communist party). The UGT says that it is forced to take such measures because of the government’s austerity policy.
