On October 29 the Building and Wood Worker's International Federation (BWI) signed new International Framework Agreements with the management of three Spanish international construction companies, Sacyr, Acciona and Dragados on working conditions, salaries, workers representation and respect for the main international treaties on social and labor rights. The two Spanish Trade Union affiliates in the sector (CC.OO. and MCA-UGT) also signed the agreements. The companies commit to extend the promotion and defense of the rights and protections in the agreement to their subcontractors and suppliers.
Acciona, Dragados and Sacyr are three large Spanish companies in the construction (residential and infrastructure) and building and public works sector. They are operate across the globe and are especially present in South America.
