On the afternoon of Thursday March 1, the representatives from Airbus Germany and IG-Metall’s WCs officially reacted to the management’s announcement in a common press conference held in Hamburg: “We will fight for every single job. But we are asking for some time because we have to establish a precise analysis of the situation,” declared Rüdiger Lütjen, president of Airbus Germany’s common WC. “We are requiring precisions and information from the management. They announce billions in savings, but we don’t know in what areas or what they are based on”, he went on, deploring the lack of information coming from the management.
