On 4 February, the European Commission published guidelines on the practices prohibited by the European regulation on artificial intelligence. Although not binding, they provide guidance on their interpretation to facilitate compliance with the new obligations.
While the provisions of the EU’s AI Act entered into force on 2 February, the European Commission published guidelines on 4 February to ensure a “consistent, effective, and uniform application of the AI Act across the European Union”.
