The employers' organisation Unice is changing its name. It becomes Business Europe to show that "business is at the heart of Europe, creates growth and employment for the well-being of European citizens". (Ref.070067)
The employers’ organisation also uses this occasion to redefine its priority missions :

- Fight for a competitive environment for companies
- Play its role of social partner within the framework of European social dialogue
- Represent the business world
These priorities are consequently :
- The implementation of reforms favoring growth and employment
- The acceleration of European market integration
- An efficient governance of the EU
- The fight against national prote
